a weekend of family, southern culture, and a waterfront wedding

Seafood. Horse-drawn carriages. Palm trees. Sun. Sand. Candied Pecans. Cheese Grits. Bouquets.Spending quality time with my family, perusing the markets, and soaking in the sunshine was the perfect weekend getaway…And, something that doesn’t happen too often- we were GUESTS at a wedding! At the rehearsal dinner, we were able to sneak away and get some great shots of my nephews in the yummy Charleston sun. OOO, I love that light.

We had an amazing time celebrating the marriage of Kelsey & John. We laughed too much. We ate too much. We danced too much.,, And, we loved it. Their ceremony and reception overlooked worn docks and beautiful sailboats at The Historic Rice Mill Building in the heart of Charleston. We watched the sunset over the water, and danced until we couldn’t feel our feet.

Here are a few of our favorites from our time in Charleston.
