spring, love, and the mountains of NC

Elizabeth & Cameron were married in Blowing Rock, North Carolina- a town nestled in the mountains, just a few miles down the road from Appalachian State University, where they met and fell in love. I met up with Elizabeth and the ladies in Boone at Shear Shakti, the coolest salon I’ve seen yet (they use Craftsman toolboxes to hold hairbrushes and products-um, how cool is that?). While the ladies began the day with hairspray, curling irons, and little bit of champagne, the guys enjoyed a chill afternoon of perusing the outdoor gear at Mast General Store.

Their ceremony was at the stunning Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church followed by a cozy, love-filled reception at The Inn At Ragged Gardens.

And then, there was rain. And hail. And wind. And fog.

So, we partied inside the Inn ‘til the wee hours of the morning, and a few hours later (the morning after the wedding), we all met up again- ladies in their dresses with bouquets, and guys in suits with boutonnieres still in-tact (seriously, how did we make this happen?!). The weather was sunny and beautiful, and we were able to get some amazing shots. Elizabeth & Cameron, you win the award for most laid-back/cooperative bride & groom of the year! We wish you guys all the best.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from our time together.
